Hey folks, Red Rivera here−visual artist with more than a decade of industry experience.

I've been shooting through photo, video, and virtual reality media professionally since 2008. I started out as a freelance contributor to media outlets while studying Multimedia Arts in college. I committed to this path and have since shot lifestyle (music, dance, sports, arts/cultural documentation), commercial (food, product, and other marketing assets) and corporate (branding assets and documentation).

I later on pursued a master's degree in Communications (Applied Media Studies) where I studied the interaction between media and culture, and the technologies that facilitate this phenomenon. I wrote a paper on "The Implications of Technology on the Perception of Photography as a Medium for Art."

I was then offered to teach photography, visual design, and art appreciation at the college level—which led me to the realization that while photography is my purpose, teaching is something I consider a vocation.
